Led by Ensemble Member Holly Lau
May 16, 2023, 11:45am to 1pm, lunch provided
Join Playback Memphis Ensemble Member Holly Lau to learn how to use the tools of Playback theatre to silence our inner critic. In our daily lives, it can be difficult to not have an opinion about everything and everyone we encounter. But can we suspend judgment at times? Can we see that our opinions are often just products of a habit that we don’t have to reinforce? We’ll answer these questions, and more, in this workshop. We will also consider how we can approach problems we encounter without judgment.
Led by Ensemble Member Bob Klyce
May 23, 2023, 11:45am to 1pm, lunch provided
Join Playback Memphis Ensemble Member Bob Klyce to learn how to use the tools of Playback theatre to use humor to relieve stress and unlock joy in our lives. A wise person once said, “Life is way too serious to take too seriously.” Humor allows us to take a step back from a particular situation, see the habits or our mind, and recognize our shared humanity.
Led by Ensemble Member Cequita Monique
May 30, 2023, 11:45am to 1pm, lunch provided
Join Playback Memphis Ensemble Cequita Monique to learn how to use the tools of Playback theatre to trust one another and ourselves. “What’s the relationship between creativity and trust?” At Playback, we believe every situation that arises, whether good or bad, gives us an opportunity to use our curiosity.
