Mental Health Matters workshop
Cast a vision to build a flourishing Memphis together with Mental Health Matters.
Registration will be open soon.
Playback Memphis is thrilled to present its second Mental Health Matters workshop, Saturday, March 12th 11-1pm.
Whether you are in need of shaking off the isolation of the pandemic or seeking new, creative ways to nurture your mental health or just simply curious about Playback theatre , Mental Health Matters is for you.
Small and intimate by design, this workshop will focus on inquiry around the perceptions, attitudes and beliefs handed down to us about mental health- how they have served and not served us; while also providing individuals and institutions the opportunity to reframe and prioritize mental health as our strongest community asset through the power of art and ritual.
Join a diverse chorus of voices to cast a new vision for nourishing individual and community mental health in Memphis.
Activities Will Include:
- Reflection and sharing
- Playback improv warm ups and games
- Mindful movement and listening
- Sharing through Playback
The foundation of Playback Memphis’ work is a commitment to telling honest stories that sometimes touch our vulnerability. For this reason, Playback Memphis takes great care to create a safe container and participant sharing is always by invitation.
