Memphis Matters

For over ten years, Playback Memphis has brought hundreds of stories to life unlocking healing, transformation, and joy through our Memphis Matters public performances.

Playback Memphis is proud to partner with WKNO for Talking Back to Memphis: An American Portrait Story for our December 5th Memphis Matters. We will share and reflect on American Portrait submissions created in Nov 21st workshop (see other event link).

WKNO will then produce a half-hour broadcast based on the submissions, and the community conversation process, to air in February or March 2021, followed by a virtual forum. Additional workshops will be offered in early January.

You are always welcome you to share a story, or just sit back and watch the magic unfold.

This show we are offering tickets at no cost to you! If you feel so inspired you can always donate to our work securely through our online donation page by clicking here.

Please fill out the registration form below to reserve your seat at Memphis Matters. Each registration allows you to register up to 3 guests (the guests are optional). If you are registering your friends, family and colleagues, please indicate the number of tickets you are reserving (including yours), as well as your guests’ name and email address under the Additional Information section (so they can receive the zoom link). We ask that you not share the zoom link with unregistered friends. We have intentionally limited the number of participants to protect the quality of the experience. We appreciate your support!
If you have more than 3 guests (including yourself) please email Oz Kovarik at [email protected]

The fact that I was able to be there, in that moment, letting go in a safe space, was remarkable.
